    Medico Legal

The Occupational Therapy assessment performed on a case of a personal injury or accident or medical negligence that is to be decided in court. An occupational Therapist will therefore assess the employee and compile a detailed report on the person's functional ability prior to injury in comparison to current. The report will illustrate the extent to which the person's injuries have compromised his/her physical or mental function, participation in activities of daily living and capacity to complete school or to work and earn a living. The Occupational Therapy medico legal report will help the judge decide upon the conclusion on a case.

Future projections will be made based on the claimant's current medical state. Projections are made with regards to cost of future rehabilitation, necessary adaptations or modifications required at claimant's home including cost thereof and the claimant's possibilities of returning to own or alternative occupation.
