RECRUITMENT

                                          "Fitness 4 Work" Act On the Interest of Both the Employee and the Employer :


Employee:
  • To break the stigma associated with appointment of people with disability in formal employment
  • To ensure that the people with disabilities are properly placed in formal employment to ensure successful reintegration into their role.

    Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)



    FCE is an assessment carried out by an occupational Therapist (OT) to assess an employee's physical & mental abilities & limitations to perform duties of own or alternative occupation. With an FCE, a therapist is able to recommend alternative occupation in view of an employee's abilities and limitations. Various standardised tests are used to assess an employee's functional abilities. OTs at Fitness 4 Work utilises Workwell system as one of the standardised tests to assess physical abilities & limitations and other standardised neurological and cognitive tests.

    Employers who wish to place employees in alternative occupations due to their inabilities to perform own occupation as a result of a medical condition, could benefit from this type of assessment as it will confirm the employee's mental and physical strength to perform alternative occupations. Through this process, the OT will be able to recommend the most suitable alternative occupations.
